Die vorliegende Auflage enthält noch einiges Material aus der 1. Auflage, jedoch sind neue Pläne hinzugekommen, die wie gewohnt durch dreidimensionale Ansichtszeichnungen illustriert werden. Während die neuen Zeichnungen faszinierend anzusehen sind, fällt die Druckqualität der älteren Beiträge auf ein bedauerlich schlechtes Niveau ab. Das Format wurde gegenüber älteren Auflagen etwas vergrößert. Der Austausch alter Auflagen (hier wurde zuletzt die 5. Auflage von 1989 angezeigt, BA 6/89) ist trotz der genannten Mängel anzuraten, jedoch nicht unbedingt erforderlich. Einziger vergleichbarer Titel (mit wesentlich besseren Abbildungen): I. Cordes: "Ideenreiche ModellbahnAnlagen" (BA 4/00). Einfachere Gleispläne finden sich in H. Peter: "Kompakte Anlagen raffiniert geplant" (BA 4/02). (1)
