"Required reading for every woman who longs to step into her power and live with pleasure and purpose." -- Kris Carr, New York Times best-selling author Author, educator, and School of Womanly Arts founder Regena Thomashauer has been working with women for the past 25 years, and what began as just a few women in her living room has since grown into a global movement with thousands of graduates worldwide. In her New York Times bestseller Pussy: A Reclamation, she reveals what no one taught you about the source of your feminine power and how to use it. This power is the part of a woman that she has been taught to ignore, push down, and despise. Indeed, the word that most viscerally sums it up is "arguably the most powerful pejorative word in the English language." Like any expletive used effectively, the title of this book is meant to be a wake-up call. It is a reclamation, in a world that desperately requires the feminine. Readers learn the secret ingredient every woman is missing; how to crack the confidence code; why sex appeal is an inside job; what's ahead on the next frontier of feminism--and how they can help make it happen; and much more. By turns earthy and erudite, passionately argued and laugh-out-loud funny, Pussy delivers the tools and practices a woman requires to do and be whatever she wants in this life. It's a call for her to tune in, turn on, and not drop out--but live more richly, fully, and lusciously than she ever thought she could.

Approaching Ali A Reclamation in Three Acts

Author: Davis Miller
Publisher: W. W. Norton & Company

Release Date: 2015-11-23
Genre: Sports & Recreation

The single most intimate look at Muhammad Ali’s retirement, told through the story of an unexpected, powerful and life-changing friendship In 1988, then struggling writer and video store worker Davis Miller drove to Muhammad Ali’s mother’s modest Louisville house, knocked on the door, and introduced himself to his childhood idol. Now, all these years later, the two friends have an uncommon bond, the sort that can be fashioned only in serendipitous ways and fortified through shared experiences. Miller draws from his remarkable moments with The Champ to give us a beautifully written portrait of a great man physically devastated but spiritually young—playing mischievous tricks on unsuspecting guests, performing sleight of hand for any willing audience, and walking ten miles each way to grab an ice cream sundae. Informed by great literary journalists such as Joan Didion, Tom Wolfe, and Gay Talese, but in a timeless style that is distinctly his own, Miller gives us a series of extraordinary stories that coalesce into an unprecedentedly humanizing, intimate, and tenderly observed portrait of one of the world’s most loved men.

Release Date: 1980
Genre: Reclamation of land

This report describes the application of dredged material for area strip mine reclamation as a possible alternative to the present practices of dredged material disposal. The purpose of the study was to demonstrate the feasibility of using a cover of dewatered dredged material to reclaim surface mine spoils. The goal of reclamation effort was the prevention and abatement of erosion and acid mine drainage by the use of dredged material as a media for a vegetative cover. The demonstration site consisted of four 80- by 180-ft diked test plots treated as follows: (a) control plot of untreated mine spoil, (b) mine spoil with a 3-ft covering of dredged material, (c) 5 tons/acre of crushed limestone incorporated into the top 6 in. of mine spoil and covered by 3 ft of dredged material, and (d) 7.5 tons/acre of crushed limestone incorporated into the top five grasses and a legume was sown for a vegetative cover as well as plant growth analyses.
