Life becomes life to all of us at some point or another. When the punches are harder, the kicks more powerful, and the truth is like the cold of a long, gray winter. According to this world, Andrew Wilkinson had everything. A successful family, a powerful father, money, material possessions, selfish luxury, and a life of travel and comfort. Then the bottom fell out. What happens when our truths evaporate in front our eyes? Where life as we know it doesn't exist anymore. When the storms come and illusions are the first casualties. Andrew Wilkinson knows and he has written about it in his first book, The Blessings of My Storms. Sixteen years ago, Andrew left his home state of Kentucky with the structures and beams of his life burning in the rearview mirror, and his father gone. Things could get worse and they did. Much worse. Only when he sat, chained with one eye swollen shut and nowhere left to run or hide, was he able to see. God had him in a corner that forced him to turn around and look at his life. The story Andrew tells is one of brokenness, surrender, forgiveness, and restoration through Jesus Christ. The life Andrew lived and his father, mother, and brother are gone, but as he learned, if we turn to God and go to Him, it is in the darkest and most destructive storms that God will rain His blessings down on us.

This is a book about healing, forgiving and reaching out to others. In this book I try to be as transparent as possible. Over the years I've learned that anything that I've allowed to remain hidden has power over me. Only through revealing and then dealing with the pain will healing be allowed to take place. The Bible says in Revelation 12:11 " and they overcame him, by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony." God did not give me a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind. I can't fully serve God and help His people if I'm afraid of what may be said or thought of me. I am a servant, my whole life's goal is to please my Savior. God saved me from depression, suicidal thoughts and many other destructive behaviors, I'm not foolish enough to think that I could ever repay Him. What can I give Him that He hasn't already given me? I will spend the rest of my life laboring in His fields, spreading the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, proclaiming God's unfailing love for All of His children. Perfect love casts out fear, my love for God won't allow me to be afraid. I can stroll fearlessly through the valley of the shadow of death and fear no evil because He is with me His rod and His staff comfort me. I am not, nor will I ever be ashamed of anything I've gone through. The things that were designed to break me actually shaped me into the woman I am today.
Book Description Praise Dancing In The Rain In The Midst Of My Lifes Storm, (Little Things Makes A Big Difference) is intended to be an easy and gentle read, yet strongly effective. To you that read my book, I resign my liberty and I tell you my secrets. I will share with you the little things in my life that made a big difference. I am sharing my secrets with you and it is my sincere hope that you will tell someone. There have always been a certain feeling of power attached to the keeping of my secrets along with reciprocal bonds between my secrecy and emotions. Keeping my secrets made me an individual and now telling my secrets voluntarily forges a link with others and helps me become a better person. What you are about to read are secrets that I have jotted down in a journal, on sticky note or just carried around in my heart and head. My secret speaks of my hopes, dreams, love, gratitude and great passion for life. I share the stories of my lifes storms, my abilities over my disabilities, victory over defeat, advantages over disadvantages, and my desire to live a well live life over an unlived death. I am truly grateful and blessed from all the small things that made the big difference in my life. It is the experiences and learned lessons from the small things that I have learned how to praise dance in the rain until I can soar above my lifes storms. The little things are enormously significant. Each time I experience something I write it down in my journal and I ask myself two questions; What have I learned from it, and how can I use what I have learned to immediately improve my life? The content of this book is also the result of a quickening, energy and desire that translated from my heart through my head and now into this book. It offers inspiration, as well as spiritual, emotional and personal empowerment. It speaks of daily occurrences in my life, real life situations with others, humor and scriptures. This book imparts a message that Life is full of ups and downs, trail and tribulations, and challenges and struggles, which are called the storms of life. These storms presents opportunities, new levels of growth, new possibilities, wisdom, inner strength as well as an invitation for lips and heart to sing, arms to be spread as wings for soaring and feet to dance a graceful dance throughout the storm with the part of life that is stronger than the problem being faced. Every storm has a season and can be a result of Gods divine will as well as his permissive will. The storms in our lives provides the environment in which God reveals himself and where He wants us to learn to trust Him by taking Him at His Word. God does not always send the storm; however he will allows us to go through them for growth. He wants us to dance in the rain and soar above our storms as eagles. The Bible declares in Isaiah 40:31: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.(KJV). The eagle has long been a symbol of strength, power and majesty, they face storms fearlessly. They are of the few birds that do not fear or attempt to escape the storm. They simply use the storm to lift them higher, they adjust their wings feathers for maximum altitude and they are able to fly high above the storm. The eagles eyes are protected by a clear membrane that protects their vision, which allows them to see clearly as they fly at high speed and when they are in a storm. That is exactly what God wants our experiences in the storm to be. God wants us to learn to face storms with vision instead of emotion. He wants us to keep a clear vision and maintain the right perspective in our storms by letting our problems and challenges cause us to rise higher and higher. God wants us to envision victory over our storms. Eagles are constantly cleaning their feathers, pulling out any that are ruffled or damage

Samuel Wesley Gathing: A Closer Look is the moving true story of Sam and Beatrice Gathing and the struggles they faced rearing their fourteen children during the era of the Jim Crow laws. These laws meant that both society and the system enforced the damaging view that their children were just stupid black kids. In this climate of institutionalized discrimination, Sam had to maneuver his way through a massive minefield of irrational hatred intended to destroy him and his family. Sam and Beatrice began their life together in December, 1929, in Desoto County, Mississippi, taking the gift of a mule named Rock and a big red cow to start their farm. Over the years, as their family expanded, so did the land that they farmed. Sam learned to live by the rules of the day but was always a true leader to both his family and to his friends. Through all of the challenges that Sam encountered, his faith in God never wavered—he believed that the truth could be found in God’s words and actions, not in the laws that were meant to harm him and his people.

How do I know what is true? Can we really be certain of what the Bible says? What will happen to me when I die? In moments of honesty, has there been any person who hasn't entertained these questions? Moreover, when these thoughts plague the mind, it's tempting to believe that no one else considers these things; no one else experiences the same fears. This book--a collection of letters--bears witness that such distress is not new, and does not need to be borne alone. Each correspondence is real, and is based around a different person's struggle with the weighty issues--free will, doubts of salvation, the truth of the Bible, and finding peace. The contributors are nothing alike--different ages, education, backgrounds, and circumstances. Yet they are all hurting. In response, they are each provided with answers. These answers aren't from a radical new approach. No innovative method of self-help is revealed. What is put forward is the simple truth that is found in God's Word, and in a comprehensive, real, and straightforward way. Misconceptions and fallacies are broken down, and biblical guidance is offered, addressing difficult issues that apply to both Christians and non-Christians alike.

“From the Book of Job to the Life of Job Titus Cannon: Standing Tall While Facing the Trials That Come Into Your Life,” written by Job Titus Cannon, is an inspiring faith based work which shares with the reader the personal challenges and struggles the author and many Christians encounter in everyday life while eventually prospering. Furthermore, this book encourages Christian believers that faith and a love for God can allow you (and any other believer) to overcome struggles that may come into your everyday life. The Book of Job is one of the truly amazing stories in the Holy Bible. It is a great place to find encouragement when experiencing difficulties and dilemmas. We all face personal problems in our lives. But more importantly, the Book of Job also gives us an example of how to handle great challenges in our lives. Job (the Bible patriarch) is wealthy, successful, and highly respected. He is a man of God and a man of family. But life happens and calamity comes. Everything that Job has and everything that he knows is destroyed. Job’s faith is challenged. As a result of Job’s challenges, he is forced to reevaluate everything he thought he was. He realized that it was easy to be faithful and strong when everything was going well, but when he was stripped of everything...... Job never cursed God, but he questioned God. In the end, Job realized that suffering is a part of the Christian walk, and eventually he was not only restored of all he lost, but the Holy Bible tells that he received twice as much as he had before. In “From the Book of Job to the Life of Job Titus Cannon: Standing Tall While Facing the Trials that Come into Your Life”, each chapter begins with thought provoking questions. These questions encourage the reader to look to the Holy Bible while using the life of Job as a reference, along with interspersing Job Titus Cannon’s own experiences. Among the issues the author confronts are: God’s ability to make an example out of one’s life, our ability to react positively to life’s negative moments, can a person ever be ready to handle really bad occurrences?, do we have an effective support staff of loving friends and family to surround us in our time of need?, our attitude towards the response of God in our time of need, and our ability to properly handle the bestowed blessings following the turbulent storm. This book gives examples of how the bible patriarch Job handled his numerous storms. This book also gives perspective and scriptural references to help the modern day Christian overcome the many trials that they may face. Job Titus Cannon’s ability to convey his own experiences along with relating them to biblical teachings further enhances the appeal of the book. This book is not only personable but practical because we all struggle with standing tall while facing trials.
